FORT FAIRFIELD – Kimberly M. Millard, 30, passed away Friday evening, March 18, 2005, at a Bangor health care facility, following a life long battle with a Neuro Muscular Disease. She was born May 26, 1974, at Pottstown, Pa. the daughter of Dennis F. Millard and Linda (Armstrong) Hayes. She was a 1992 graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School and also graduated salutatorian from the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1996, earning a degree in business management. Kim was a very devoted member of the Celebration Center of Fort Fairfield. She loved to write, take photographs, and loved scrap booking and had been employed as editor of the former Fort Fairfield Review. Kim adored her family, especially her nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Sherman and Bernice Todd; paternal grandfather, Meryl Millard; paternal stepgrandfather, Warren Hayes. Kim is survived by her mother and stepfather, Linda and Donald Hayes of Fort Fairfield; father and stepmother, Dennis F. and Sandra Millard of Earlville, Pa.; one brother, John Hayes of Caribou; two sisters, Buffy Rasmussen of Fort Fairfield and fianc?, Scott McLaughlin, of Perth-Andover, N.B. Canada, Tiffany Daigle and her husband, Mike, of Fort Fairfield; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Millard of Pennsylvania; paternal stepgrandmother, Ethel Hayes of Caribou; Kim will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by her special nieces and nephews, Britney and Paige Lavoie, Caleb Soloman and Jonah Daigle, all of Fort Fairfield. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Monday, March 21, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Celebration Center, Houlton Road, Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, later in the spring. A time of fellowship will be held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle St., Fort Fairfield immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Kim to the Celebration Center, P.O. Box 738, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Envelopes will be available at both the funeral home and church.
