BANGOR and BELLINGHAM, Wash. – LaJune S. Means, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep Nov. 7, 2007, with family members by her side in Bellingham, Wash. She was born June 15, 1919, in Dubois, Pa., and raised by her grandparents, Harry and Lena Patterson in Yakima, Wash. She graduated from Yakima High School and attended the University of Washington. In 1938 she married Irwin “Dick” Storgaard. They made their home on Mercer Island, Wash., where they raised their family and were pioneers in the cable television business. Sadly, LaJune was widowed in 1963. While in Washington, LaJune was active in Boy Scouts, PTA, the YWCA and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mercer Island, Wash. In 1967, while traveling in Maine, she met David G. Means. LaJune and David were married in 1968.
