ROCKLAND and SHERMAN Larry E. Worster, 44, died April 26, 2008, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. He was born Nov. 11, 1963, in Island Falls, the son of Shirley (Carver) and Edward Worster. Larry was a captain at Maine State Prison, Warren, where he worked for 17 years and served in the Air Force for four years. He was a lifelong fisherman and his love of fishing led him to various spots throughout Maine, New York and Hawaii. He grew up fishing the Molunkis and Kingman rivers with his parents and cousin/best friend, David Carver. Larry later shared many trips with his sons, Michael and Garrett. He loved to hunt, boat and ride his Harley. He played softball for the prison team and coached both of his sons throughout various years and sports, starting with pee-wee up through AAU basketball. He recently enjoyed the success of both of his son’s playing for SMCC, where he followed every game and was present for Mike’s 1000 point scoring game. In addition to his mother of Sherman, he is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ellen (Rush) of Windham; sister, Lori Ann Ambridge and her husband, Scott, and their children, Megan, Melissa and Marc; bro-ther, Ricky, all of Waldoboro; mother-in-law, Esther Rush-Hines of Benedicta; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by a special friend, Lidia Kozlowski of Rockland. He was predeceased by his father, Edward, in 1999; and father-in-law, Gerard Rush, in 1998. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls.
