BAILEYVILLE – Laura Jennie Seamans, 95, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Calais Regional Hospital. Laura was born Nov. 25, 1911, in Wesley, daughter of the late George and Mae (Dodge) Day. She married Dexter Seamans Sept. 23, 1939, at which time they moved to Princeton, where they lived for many years. Laura enjoyed cooking, eating out, traveling, shopping and dancing. She was predeceased by her husband, Dexter; 12 brothers and sisters; and two grandsons, Michael Manza and Joel Todd. Surviving are her two daughters, Melvena Manza of Baileyville and Priscilla Seamans of Baring; four grandchildren, Laurie Lewis and husband, Bill, of Bangor, Ralph Manza of Baileyville, Brent Ripley and wife, Shirley, of Greenbush and Darren Ripley of Calais; 10 great-grand-children, a great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. A private burial will be held at a later date. A cremation by Washington County Cremation Center.
