MILLINOCKET – Laura M. LaForest, 99, died at a local healthcare facility Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, just a few short hours away from her 100th birthday. She was born Jan. 10, 1905, in Baker Lake, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of Telesphore and Catherine (Michaud) Caron. She was the wife of the late Adolph LaForest who died in 2001. Laura was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and a member of the Legion of Mary. She was also a former member of the Plus and Minus Club. She is survived by two sisters, Sadie Caron of Edmundston, New Brunswick and Clauda Ouellette of Baker Lake, New Brunswick and several special nieces and nephews. Laura also leaves special friends, Janet and Fred Armstrong, Alyssa and Evan all of Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket. Spring burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements by R.
