BANGOR – Laura Nadeau, 85, wife of the late Fernando Nadeau, died Feb. 27, 2006, at a local healthcare facility. She was born July 21, 1920, in Millinocket, the daughter of Antonio and Carolina (Mascaieo) Dicentes. Laura is survived by four sons, Tommy Nadeau and his wife, Debbie, of Eddington, Robert Nadeau and his wife, Vicki, of Louisville, Ky., Gary Nadeau and his wife, Barbara, of Brewer, Mark Nadeau and Lori Partridge of Carmel; one daughter, Shirley and her husband, Jack Dempster, of New York; one brother, Peter Dicentes of Massachusetts; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Edna Gowie; four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Ronald Hoelzer, pastor of the New Apostolic Church, Glenburn, officiating. Friends may call noon Wednesday, until time of the service. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
