MADAWASKA – Lawrence Clavette, 73, died Nov. 15, 2007, at a Madawaska nursing home. He was born Feb. 4, 1934, in Madawaska, the son of Denis “Bill” and Mathilda “Emma” (Doucette) Clavette. He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Michaud) Clavette of Madawaska; one daughter, Paula Michaud and her husband, Peter, of Auburn, N.H.; two sons, David Clavette of Madawaska and Steven Clavette of Auburn, N.H.; six brothers, Donat, Maurice, Claude “Pit” and Oneil Clavette, all of Madawaska, Yvon Clavette of Manchester, Conn., and Gilbert Clavette of Florida; five sisters, Theresa Couturier of Madawaska, Simone Mack of Connecticut, Violette Bouchard and Muriel Barry, both of Frenchville, Blanche “Kit” Haskins of Florida; two granddaughters, Olivia and Renee Michaud of Auburn, N.H.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
