ORRINGTON and NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Lawrence Earl MacDonald, 72, died Oct. 28, 2006, in New Port Richey, Fla., where they had been a resident since 1994. He was born July 15, 1934, in Eddington, son of Dunton Novel and Teresa Amerald (Norton) MacDonald. Larry attended Eddington and Brewer schools, was a U.S. Army veteran and had been employed by Twin City Buick, Brewer for 25 years. He was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church and a former member of the board of deacons. He was one of the founders of the Orrington Snowmobile Club and the senior citizens complex in Orrington. He was a avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Larry was a member of the Ralph J. Pollard Lodge AF & AM, Orrington; Scottish Rites Bodies, Valley of Bangor; Maine Consistory 32nd Degree and Anah Shriners. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Brenda (Clukey) MacDonald of New Port Rickey, Fla.; four children, Deborah Wing and her companion, Gary Grover, of Holden, Laura Gilio and her husband, Joel, Lisa Tardiff, Eric MacDonald and his wife, Jill, all of Hampden; nine grandchildren, Allison and Rachel Wing, Aaron and Jordyn and Kathryn Gilio, Joshua and Dylan Tardiff, Tyler and Lauren MacDonald; two brothers, Robert MacDonald and his wife, Doris, of Holden and Donald MacDonald and his wife, Eleanor, of Eddington; one sister, Rose Wheelden of Eddington; nieces and nephews; three special friends, Lew and Jeannie Burke of Clermont, Fla., James McGilton of New Port Richey, Fla. He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Sprague; a brother, Duncan MacDonald. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, chaplain of Husson College, officiating.
