MADAWASKA – Lawrence Roy, 79, died March 20, 2005, at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born April 27, 1925, in Upper Frenchville the son of George I. and Gertrude (Morin) Roy. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Verna (Voisine) Roy of Bowling Green, Fla.; six daughters, Carlene and Paul St. Amant of Waterville, Nancy and Eno Theriault of Grand Isle, Linda and Tilly Coe of Fort Pierce, Fla., Joyce Gauvin, of Fort Pierce, Fla., Dolores Carlier of Manchester, N.H., and Debra Ann Evans of Stuart, Fla.; one son, Brian Roy and his companion, Lynn, of Bristol, Conn.; two sisters, Geniva Sumner of North Carolina, and Bernice Trepanier of Palmyra; one brother, Vernon Roy of Madawaska; 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Mr. Roy was predeceased by two brothers, Conrad and Eldon Roy. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday in the St. Gerard Mt. Carmel Church in Grand Isle. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home in Madawaska 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
