WASHBURN – Lawrence Boyce, 77, died Sept. 27, 2007, at a Caribou hospital, after a long illness. He was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Wade, the son of Ernest and Eleanor (Curtis) Boyce. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a lifetime member of the VFW, the American Legion and the DAV. He is survived by two sons, Larry and Mark Boyce, both of Oakfield; a daughter, Susan Cormier and her husband, Fred, of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Cormier of Van Buren; a brother, Wesley Boyce and his wife, Marion, of Washburn; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, including a special cousin, Frederick Curtis. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Boyce. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Earl Durost officiating. Relatives and friends may call noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
