ALTON – Leah M. Rancourt, 18, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 28, 2007. She was born May 4, 1988, in Bangor, the daughter of Tammy Beaupre and Clayton Rancourt. Leah graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 2006. She completed her certified nurses’ aide and looked forward to starting her first job in nursing. Leah intended on pursuing her education in nursing. Leah was the shoulder her friends leaned on, as they considered her a mother hen. She was always ready to help anyone. Leah is survived by her mother of Old Town; father of Winterport; grandparents, Nancy McClure of Millinocket, Clayton and Colleen Rancourt of Winterport; uncles, Mark Beaupre of Caribou and Carl Olson Jr. of Millinocket; aunts, Danielle Rancourt of Winterport and Dawn Gower of Frankfort; boyfriend, Jonah of Greenbush; dear friends, Lauren and K.C.; and many great-aunts, uncles and cousins; and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Conrad Beaupre and Carl Olson Sr.; and uncle, Tom Beaupre. Visiting hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ron Chaffee officiating.
