ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Lee Clair Burgoyne, 70, went peacefully to be with his Lord, Sept. 19, 2005, after a brief struggle with lung cancer. He was born May 4, 1935, in Somerville, the son of Clair N. and Nora (Whiting) Burgoyne. Lee made his living, primarily, as a woodsman until the early 1980’s. Thereafter, he and his wife owned and operated the Town Line Drive-In, located in Abbot, for approximately 15 years before retirement. He was a member of AA and recently celebrated his 19th anniversary. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and traveling. He is survived by his four daughters and their husbands, Vicki and Garth Dearborn of Glenburn, Cindy and Andy Boucher of Winterport, Wendy and Ronnie Merrill of Benton, and Tracy and Frank Santos of Parkman; grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Amanda Boucher of Arkansas, Jordan and his wife, Clara Boucher of Bangor, Josie Boucher, Jeremy, Tory, and Cala Dearborn, Matthew, Alex and Sarah Merrill, Nicole and Ethan Santos; one great-grandson, Calab Boucher of Arkansas; one brother, Bruce Burgoyne of Florida; one sister-in-law, Nancy Burgoyne of Dover-Foxcroft; one brother-in-law, Arthur Hobbs of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; and two infant children, Tammy Marie and Clair Milton. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Grace Bible Church, Sangerville, with Pastor David Kelly officiating.
