ELLSWORTH – Lee Howard Jones, 59, died June 16, 2005, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. He was born March 6, 1946, in Bar Harbor, the son of Elwood B. and Anne (Tuttle) Reed. Lee was a member of the Masonic Lodge, St. Petersburg, Fla. He was also a member of the B.A.S.S. Federation, the Maine Bass Federation, and the Acadia Bassmaster’s where he worked at the Sportsman Show at UMO in Orono. He also participated in Casting for Kids. He especially enjoyed teaching the children to cast. One of his students participated at the state and national levels. Lee is survived by his parents, of Bar Harbor; his wife of 20 years, Penny of Ellsworth; three half-sisters, Beth Jones of Connecticut, Debbie Brantner of Great Barrington, Mass., Carolyn Mansfield, of Clinton, Conn.; mother and father-in-law, Paul and Lorene Martin, of Sullivan. He was predeceased by a half-brother, Nelson Reed. At Lee’s request, a celebration of his life will be held later in the summer.
