UNITY and HOWLAND – Lena A. Prescott, 88, passed away Oct. 28, 2006, at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home, Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born Jan. 11, 1918, in Edinburg, the daughter of Herbert and Laura (Sibley) Batchelder. Lena spent most of her life in Howland, then in Unity and 12 years ago, moved to Zephyrhills, Fla. She was an assembly line worker in the plywood industry and was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Madore and Marilyn Bellows, both of Zephyrhills, Fla., seven grandchildren, eight great-grand-children, two great-great-grand-daughters, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters, Lawrence Batchelder, Dora Lyons, Velma McGraves, Madeline Smart, Lila Chaples, Henry Batchelder and Martha Dow.
