GLENBURN – Lenora E. Dudley, 81, died March 13, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Veazie, the daughter of Willard Samuel and Estella Augusta (Taylor) Braley. Lenora graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1943 and joined the Women’s Army Corps as a medical technician attached to the U.S. Air Force retiring as a staff sergeant. She married Joseph Dudley Aug. 28, 1948. Lenora was a member of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, the Naomi Circle American Legion Post No. 211, PTA, Glenburn Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Spud Spinners Square Dancing Club. She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Dudley of Glenburn; three children, Joseph “Jody” E. Dudley of Glenburn, Yvonne E. (Dudley) Hodgkins and her husband, Dennis, of Arizona, George E. Dudley and his wife, Joan, of Etna; four grandchildren, Nathaniel and his wife, Jen, Aaron and his wife, Lisa, Jonathan and his wife, Tabbitha and Mathiew; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Briggs and her husband, Albert, Eva Grant and her husband, Malcolm, Hattie Trafton and her husband, Richard, all of Glenburn. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Gregory DuBois, pastor of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, 911 Hudson Rd., Glenburn, immediately after the service Friday.
