LEO ‘CHUB’ GRANT PATTEN – Leo “Chub” Grant, 75, died May 13, 2004, at Lincoln. He was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Patten, the son of Leslie and Stella (Foster) Grant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pearl (Lenentine) Grant of Patten; one daughter, Karen (Oakes) Geary of Calais; nine brothers and sisters, Marion Cochran of Canton, Dorothy Binett of Patten, Paul Grant of Montpelier, Vt., Pearl Archer of Millinocket, Margaret Grant of Lewiston, Jeanette Caswell of Patten, Frederick “Bucky” Grant of Bennington, Vt., Joe Grant of Patten, and Catherine Shaw of Crystal; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Frances; and two brothers, Edwin and Henry. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Patten Cemetery.
