MILLINOCKET – Leo R. Marquis, 25, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 19, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident in Mississippi. He was born May 6, 1979, the son of Mike and Debi (Mavor) Marquis. He graduated from Stearns High School in 1997. Leo loved outdoor sports, especially hunting, fishing, football, and hockey. Touching many lives, Leo was loved by all who met him. He worked as a traveling pipe fitter for various construction companies. Leo was a positive, fun loving guy with a huge heart who would do anything for anyone. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Debi Marquis of Millinocket; two sisters, Irma Streams and husband, Corey and their son, Cabryn and daughter, Emilyn of Bangor, Denise Marquis of Millinocket; maternal grandparents, Irma Mavor Chartier and her friend, Raymond Drapeau, of Quebec; paternal grandparents, Leo and Pauline Marquis of Madawaska; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special friend, Lori King of North Carolina; and many close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo’s memory may be sent to the Millinocket Recreation Department, donations may be left at the Funeral Home.
