CARIBOU – Leola L. Gagnon, 86, died Dec. 31, 2004, at Caribou. She was born May 13, 1918, in Caribou the daughter of Wilfred and Clara (Longlais) Beaupre. Mrs. Gagnon was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of Catholic Golden Age and was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, and the Daughters of Isabella at Sacred Heart. She was a member of the Cary Medical Center Seniority Program and also enjoyed taking adult education classes. Leola was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Russell and Mary Gagnon of Caribou, Richard Gagnon of Somersworth, N.H., Darrell and Linda Gagnon of Dover, Fla., Galen and Shelly Gagnon of Rochester, N.H., and Steve and Cindy Gagnon of Wade; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Claudia and Randolph Bouchard of Presque Isle, Julie and Wayne Buckley of Concord, N.H., Sharon and Herman Martin of Laconia, N.H., Leanne and Paul Manzer of Rock Tavern, N.Y., Joan and John Auchterlonie of Concord, N.H. and Jean Gagnon of Laconia, N.H.; three brothers, Fernand Beaupre of Caribou, Delmar Beaupre of Michigan and Roger Beaupre of N.Y.; three sisters, Rolande Belanger, Edwina Lorenzo and Doris Black all of New York; 26 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gagnon was predeceased by her husband, Ulrick Dec. 9, 1978; four brothers, Reney, Ivan, Roland, and Francis; and two sisters, Fernande and Theresa. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be concelebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond and Fr. Kevin Martin, officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends who wish may contribute to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Mrs. Gagnon’s great-granddaughter, Juliana Buckley, 11, who predeceased her Dec. 25, 2004.
