BAR HARBOR – Leon H. Gaynor, 91, died Feb. 14, 2007, at his residence. He was born June 10, 1915, in Schenectady, N.Y., the son of Barnet and Elizabeth (Shulman) Ginsburg. Leon served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from Albany School of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist for 65 years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He is survived by sons, Robert Gaynor and wife, Gayle, of Bar Harbor and Jon Gaynor and wife, Andrea, of Ellsworth; daughter, Beth Gaynor Furcajg of Paris, France; grandchildren, Joshua, Rebecca, Alain, Sandra, Shakeena and Odane. He was predeceased by his wife, Devora Katzel, in 1997. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert.
