SPRINGFIELD – Lester J. Thibodeau, 68, husband of Joyce (Munson) Thibodeau, died April 13, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1936, in St. Francis, the son of Fred and Elsie (Martin) Thibodeau. Lester was a hard worker. He worked in the woods for more than 40 years. He loved life and making people laugh. He never stopped laughing through many years with cancer. He loved his family and his grandchildren were the world to him. In addition to his wife, Joyce, of Springfield; he is survived by four children, Lester Thibodeau and his wife, Amy, of Carmel, Norma Shorey and her husband, Gregory, of Springfield, Betty Averill and her husband, Scot of Prentiss, and Kevin Thibodeau and his wife, Susan, of Lincoln; three sisters, Priscilla Devoe of Eagle Lake, Lynda Thibodeau of Fort Kent and Edwina Cook of Caribou; one brother, Patrick Thibodeau of Worcester, Mass; 11 grandchildren, Nicholas Shorey, Sara and Eric Scott, Taylor and Zachary Averill, Bradley and Maci Thibodeau, Mary, Tiffany, Toby and Isaac Dyer; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Norman and Richard Thibodeau; one sister, Cecile Gagnon; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Shorey. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2005, at Springfield Village Cemetery, with the Rev. Linda Hatch, officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
