MARS HILL – Lewis Allan Devoe, 54, of Kingsclear, New Brunswick, died March 22, 2008, in Kingsclear, New Brunswick. He was born Aug. 16, 1953, in Mars Hill, the son of Alfred James Devoe and Mary Rose Sacobie. Lewis attended schools in Mars Hill and served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by three daughters, Anya Emily Devoe and her companion, David Frahm, of Auburn, Kristi Ricker and her companion, Jimmy Livingston, of Limestone, and Chelsey Ellis of Limestone; three granddaughters, Isabella Frahm, Gabrielle Ricker and Sophia Livingston; two brothers, Ray Devoe and his wife, Darlene, and Clifford Devoe, all of Princeton; five sisters, Elizabeth Fox and her husband, Wayne, of Caribou, Diane Devoe and Rose Sock, both of Milwaukee, Wis., Bessie Tinker of Princeton, and Paula Paul of Kingsclear, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Alfred Devoe; and two sisters, Annette Devoe and Anne Sock. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Mars Hill, with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant.
