BANGOR – Lew Strickland died unexpectedly April 3, 2006. He was born May 13, 1953, in Bangor, the son of Robert Ray and Louise Hazel (Conary) Strickland. Lew was active in peace movements and very concerned about global warming. He liked gardening, landscaping, working with wood and writing. He is survived by his ex-wife, Connie; two daughters, Becky and Jasmine; three brothers, Bobby, Paul and Ray D.; two sisters, Nancy and Mary, and by many people who loved and prayed for him. He was predeceased by his father, Robert; his mother, Louise; his stepmother, Betty; one brother, Raymond. The family invites relatives and friends to join them in a celebration of his life, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 61 State St., Brewer.
