WASHBURN – Lila I. Martin, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2004, surrounded by her loving family at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born May 8, 1918, at Presque Isle, the daughter of Ollie and Gladys (Harper) Webber. Lila was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a former member of the Washburn Pentecostal Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a faithful and charter member of the Christian Life Assembly in Presque Isle. Lila is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frederick H. Martin of Washburn; two sons, Harold Marr of Jensen Beach, Fla., Steven Marr and his wife, Judy, of Woodland; a daughter, Carla Ann Rossignol and her husband, Bryant, of Washburn; six granddaughters and their husbands, Lori Marr of Trenton, Cheryl and Dana Hallowell of Madawaska Lake, Janet and Charles Verhoff of Caribou, Joanna and Matt Cole of Woodland, Christina and Lloyd Jr. “Teddy” Maynard of Washburn, Marcy and Troy Herald of Washburn; two grandsons, Alan Marr and his wife, Myra, of Tavares, Fla., and Neil Marr and his wife, Deannna, of Tampa, Fla.; nine great-granddaughters, Melissa, Katie, Jennifer, Leslie, Gabrielle, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Meghan and Sarah; seven great-grandsons, Steven B., Steven M., Sammy, Elijah, Joshua, Martin and Ryan; three sisters, Gloria Wilcox and her husband, Alden, of Washburn, Patricia Moccia and her husband, Mario, of Orange, Conn., Norma Hitchcock of Washburn; a brother, Ollie Webber Jr. and his wife, Judith, of Warner, N.H.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters; and two brothers. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004, at the Christian Life Assembly, Chandler Road, Presque Isle, with the Rev. David MacIntyre officiating. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Interment will be in Crouseville Cemetery.
