CARIBOU – Lila J. Bechard, 75, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at an Augusta nursing home . She was born May 21, 1932, in Rome, the daughter of Ora and Ruth (White) Perkins. Lila loved children and was a daycare provider for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed the times they had together. She is survived by two sons, Fred Flanders of New Hampshire and Robert Flanders of Augusta; four daughters, Robin Iamicelli and her husband, Dean, of New York, Lori Doughty and her husband, Irving, of West Gardiner, Roxanne McCarthy and her husband, Patrick, of Lewiston, and Mary Ann Guenette and her husband, Richard, of Sabattus; one brother, Ronald; and a sister, Jeanette; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Clifford Bechard; four brothers, Arthur Perkins, Rodney Trott, Gene Trott and Fred Trott; and a sister, Lita Godin. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with the Rev. James Morgan officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place after the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery, North Caribou.
