MONTICELLO – Lillian F. Brewer RN, 81, loving wife of Carlton A. Brewer, whom she married Oct. 26, 1949, died July 22, 2006, with her family at her side, in Houlton. She was born June 18, 1925, in Houlton, the daughter of Burton and Thelma (Rush) Lenentine. She graduated from Ricker Classical Institute in 1943, Maine General Hospital in 1947, and was a cadet nurse during World War II. She was a member of the Monticello Grange where she was secretary for 38 years and also a member of the State and National Grange where she made several wonderful friends throughout the state. In addition to her husband of Monticello, she is survived by five children, Karla and her husband, Ron Seaman, of Freeport, Lori and her husband, Tim McLaughlin, of Pittsford, N.Y., Ashley Brewer and his friend, Lisa Matthews, of Houlton, Angela Brewer of Hodgdon and Calvin Brewer and his friend, Katina Long, of Monticello; eight grandchildren, Andrew and Trevor Seaman, Brett and Erin McLaughlin, Ryan Jackson, Sara Brewer, Hannah Elland and Chase Brewer; one great-grandchild, Riley Jackson; one brother, Stuart and his wife, Shirley Lenentine, of Monticello; many adoring nieces nephews, cousins and a special breakfast pal, Louise Guillette. She was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Everett and his wife, Opal Lenentine. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Revs. Carl DeMerchant and Fred Hanson officiating. Interment will be at the Foster Cemetery, Monticello. A time of fellowship will be held after the services at the Monticello Grange.
