WINTERPORT – Lillian G. Timon went to sleep encircled in the love of Jesus with her family by her side Oct. 25, 2004, the 59th wedding anniversary of she and her beloved husband, Robert L. Timon Sr., who predeceased her in 1989. She was born in Bangor Jan. 3, 1928, the daughter of Walter H. and Esther B. (Gray) Downes. She was a member of the Greater Bangor Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hermon, for more than 50 years. She taught Children’s Sabbath School classes for many of those years. She dedicated her life to raising her family and nurturing them physically and spiritually. Survivors include her sons, Robert L. Timon Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Ijamsville, Md., Daniel R. Timon and his wife, Rebecca, of Laurel, Md., Mark D. Timon and special friend, Karen, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; daughters, Karen L. Cobb and her husband, David, of Norridgewock, Deborah E. Verrill and her husband, Jefferds, of Winterport; brother, Robert H. Downes of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Wendi (Timon) Baugher, Christy (Timon) Cline, Katrina (Cobb) McLaughlin, Kimberly (Cobb) Baumbach, Nicole (Cobb) Garver, James Timon, Benjamin and Samuel Verrill, Dale Timms and Keith Timon-Timms; great-grandchildren, Donnie Arnett, Zachary Cline, Zane Baugher, Amber and Brendan McLaughlin, Nicolaus Baumbach; several nieces and nephews. The family sends loving thoughts and prayers of thanks to her special friend, Richard Turner, and to the wonderful extended family she found in the staff of Brewer Rehab and Living Center and the staff in CPCU at St. Joseph Hospital for their loving care and dedicated support in her time of need. A service celebrating the life of Lillian will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Greater Bangor Seventh Day Adventist Church, Route 2, Hermon. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
