FRENCHVILLE – Lillian Gagnon, 87, died Jan. 17, 2008, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1920, in St. Agatha, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Anna (Caron) Martin. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by five sons, Louie of Cromwell, Conn., Richard and his wife, Pat, of East Hampton, Conn., James and his wife, Nicole, of Frenchville, Don of Cromwell, Conn., and Paul of Frenchville; seven daughters, Joan of Frenchville, Jeannette and Carroll Pelletier of New Britain, Conn., Rose and Alphonse Charette, of Fort Kent, Norma and Larry Ellis of Ashburn, Va., Judy and Gerard Chasse of St. Agatha, Lisa and Paul Bernier of Frenchville and Sue and Leon Jr. Voisine of Fort Kent; 28 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Valmond Martin, Valdor Martin, Lincoln Martin and Thomas Martin, all of Connecticut; two sisters, Mazy Martin of Connecticut and Jackie Vaillincourt of Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lewis; one son, Michael; one brother, Harold; and one sister, Marion. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday until the time of services at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at St. Luce Catholic Church, Frenchville, with Father Phil Cyr officiating. Burial at St. Luce Cemetery in the spring.
