NICKERSON CALAIS – Myrtle Dollie Estabrooks Nickerson, 97, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Atlantic Rehab & Nursing Center. Myrtle was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, to Jessie and John Hayes. She was predeceased by two sons, James and John Estabrooks. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Newman, Gertrude Meachum, Jessie Mathewson, Shirley Estabrooks and Connie Cox; sons, Ronald Estabrooks, Kenneth Estabrooks, Thomas Estabrooks and Dale Estabrooks; and more than 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held May 17, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. The time of services will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place at Dennysville Cemetery.
