CORINNA, BANGOR and DURHAM, N.C. – Mrs. Lillian K. Ray, 97, of Durham, N.C., died May 27, 2007. She was born April 25, 1910, in Boston. She spent many years in Maine and had lived in the Durham – Chapel Hill area for the past 28 years. She married Fred P. Ray in 1946 and enjoyed 13 happy years, until his death in 1959. She was a postal employee in Corinna and Bangor, until she retired in 1979 and moved to North Carolina. She is survived by her son, Richard and his wife, Veronica, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and their two sons, Marc and Jeremy; her son, Robert of Salem, Ore.; her daughter, Elizabeth DeLong and her husband, David, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and their two sons, Steven and Michael; and her nephew, whom she raised, Dorian Klam and his wife, Michelle, of Bangor; and their two children, Nicole and Joseph.
