MACHIAS – Lillian M. Kelley, 86, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Down East Community Hospital, Machias. She was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Crawford, the daughter of the late Victor and Hazel (Perry) Archer. Lillian worked for many years at Farris Lunch Counter, Machias and as a CNA – M at nursing homes in the Portland area, Ellsworth and Machias. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Richardson and companion, William Wadsworth, of Marshfield; three grandchildren, Scott Rich-ardson and wife, Mary, of Bradley, Janet Lewis and husband, Jeffrey, of Ellsworth and Shelby Leighton and husband, Eric, of Bucks Harbor; six great-grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Richardson, Darien and Tucker Lewis and Julia and Cooper Leighton; one sister, Lois Joyce of Cape Elizabeth; a sister-in-law, Winnie Archer of Meddybemps; and many nieces and nephews. She also will be missed by her extended family at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Machias; and her friend, Sherri. She was predeceased by her husband, Sherman Kelley; brothers, Donald, Linwood, Carroll and Russell Archer; and a sister, Virginia Bowker. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
