FORT KENT – Lillie (Hebert) Gagnon, 99, died Aug. 6, 2006, at Forest Hill Manor, Fort Kent. She was born June 8, 1907, at Little Black Lake, the daughter of Ubald and Eva (Landry) Hebert. Lillie’s favorite pastime was knitting and sewing blankets for family and friends all over. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, for which she was voted mother of the year in 1979; member of the third order of the Secular Franciscans; she was also a R.S.V.P. volunteer for more than 15 years. She is survived by her children, Sister Rena Mae Gagnon P.F.M. of Worcester, Mass., Fern Gagnon of Southington, Conn., Rita (Gagnon) Pelletier of New Canada, Bert Gagnon of Fort Kent, Roland Gagnon of Cornville, Bern (Gagnon) Lord of West Covina, Calif., Angie (Gagnon) Hotchkin of Kennebunk and Gil Gagnon of Fort Kent; four sisters, Agnes Albert and Leona Paradis, both of Fort Kent, Anna Doucette of East Hartford, Conn. and Janet Billier of Texas; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ned Gagnon, in 1975; three daughters, Memory Keller, Eva Gagnon and Eva Rinette Gagnon; and one son, Lucien Gagnon. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be afterward in the parish cemetery.
