SOLDIER POND – Lilly (Laferriere) St. Amant, 95, died March 24, 2008, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Brasley) Laferriere. She worked as a cook for the B & A Railroad for 30 years. She was a member of Catholic Order of Foresters, L’Union St. Jean Baptiste and Ladies of St. Anne of Soldier Pond; and a life member of Brotherhood Maintenance of Ways Employees. She was predeceased by her husband Albert St. Amant, in 1998; and one daughter, Albertine St. Amant, in 1948. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Voisine and her husband, Harold, of Fort Kent, Richard St. Amant and his wife, Joan, of Port Orange, Fla., and Andrew St. Amant and his fianc?e, Sheila, of Hermon; two sisters, Eva Charette of Fort Kent and Jean Cote of Bristol, Conn.; two brothers, Oscar Laferriere of Bristol, Conn., and Leon Laferriere of New York; six grandchildren, Glenn, Michael, Brenda, Kirk, Shannon and Cheryl; 12 great-grandchildren, Lance, Brad, Krysta, Kendall, Michael Jr., Christopher, Camden, Lily, Isabelle, Kayla, Caden and Lilth; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased three brothers, Albert, Willard and Joseph Laferriere; and one sister, Clara Bouchard. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until time of departure for Soldier Pond at Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Spring burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
