DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. – Linda Lee Taylor, 61, died Dec. 27, 2005, at her home after a long battle with cancer. Born Nov. 15, 1944, in Oneida, N.Y., the daughter of Dorothy (Pringle) and the late Robert Morse Schneider. She graduated from Canastota High School, received her bachelor’s degree in education from Buffalo State, and her master’s degree from Elmira College. She taught home economics for 12 years at VVS High School in Vernon, N.Y. and taught for two years at Stearns High School in Millinocket. She also served as the director of Downeast Hospice, in Calais. She loved sewing and was a great cook. Surviving is Linda’s husband of 20 years, Robert M. Taylor; her mother, Dorothy Schneider; her daughters, Ronda Cobb, and Marni Taylor; three granddaughters, Makayla, Tia, and Willow Cobb; a brother, Robert Schneider; a sister, Sharon Wolfe; a cousin, Irving Truax; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Jan. 7, 2006, at Dolgeville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
