SALEM, Ore. – Linwood Everett Hammond, 99, of Salem, Ore. died Dec. 4, 2004. He was born April, 13, 1905, in Old Town to William and Marie (Coulliard) Hammond. In 1945, he moved to Portland, Ore. and began working as a real estate agent and later became a broker. He moved to Silverton, Ore. in 1975, and opened Hammond Realty. He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge and held the rank of 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include son, William; daughters, Eleanor Rhodes, and Linda Montgomery, all of Maine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private burial will be in Hamden.
