FORT WORTH, Texas – Linwood H. Libby, 73, a loving, devoted hus-band, father, and grandfather, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007, from Alzheimer’s complications in Fort Worth, Texas, where he had resided since 1956. Lin was born Oct. 11, 1933, in Hampden. He graduated from Hermon High School in 1952 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953, serving in Korea. He married Fran in 1955 and they were blessed with two children, Greg and Gayle. Lin was a technical publications manager, retiring from General Dynamics after 331/2 years. He attended First Baptist Church of White Settlement, where he was an active deacon for more than 40 years. He held lifetime memberships in the National Management Assoc., the John Libby Family Assoc., and IOOF. Lin was predeceased by his parents, Vernon B. and Arneta; and brothers, Edward and Adrian. Survivors include wife, Fran; son, Greg and wife, Paula; daughter, Gayle; grandsons, Travis and Tyler; brothers, Carrol and wife, Marie, of Burkburnett, Texas, and Vernon and wife, Sherrill, of Levant; sister, Avis Karitis of Bellingham, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Libby of Corinth, and Ronnie Libby of Seattle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
