LINCOLN – Linwood Lloyd Severance Sr., 73, died Aug. 25, 2007, at his home. He was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Springfield, the son of Solomon George and Cassie (Glidden) Severance. Linwood was employed at Lincoln Pulp & Paper for 42 years and he loved to be outside, whether it was hunting at his camp in Springfield, fishing, working in the woods or exercising his green thumb on his flower gardens. He especially loved spending time on Egg Pond with his children and grandchildren. His family will always remember the good times on the 4th of July and the lobster feed. Linwood is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Barnes (Kennedy) Severance of Lincoln; children, Phyllisann Arthurs and Jerry of T1R4, Wayne Severance of Lincoln, Linwood Severance Jr. and Bonnie of Springfield, Patricia Champney and Thomas of Brooksville, Fla., Cara Sinclair and Alan, Gina Spaulding and Mark, Shauna Littlefield and Jeremie, all of Lincoln, Holli Thibodeau and Jim of Winn; grandchildren, Linwood Severance III and Heather Burleigh, Danny Severance, Christopher and Joshua Sinclair, Aaron, Jason and Bethany Severance, Renata and Mark Spaulding, Katlyn and Devin Littlefield, Damien and Jeremy Arthurs, Nicole and Nicholas Champney, J.J., Chelsey and Matthew; sister, Lee Lowe and Red; good friend of many years, Cliff Kneeland; and family friend, Darlene Predham. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters and one brother. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
