ODENTON, Md. – Lois Stone, 72, beloved wife of Earl Blake Stone, died Dec. 18, 2006, of natural causes at Mariner Healthcare Facility, Glen Burnie, Md., after a lengthy illness following a stroke in 2001. She was born May 25, 1934, in Fort Fairfield, beloved daughter of George Franklin and Sadie Blanche (Condon) Fay. She was the dearest wife of Earl Blake Stone for 54 years. Lois and Earl have two daughters, Cathy Ann, and Carol Lynne; and one son, Kenneth Earl. She was educated in the Fort Fairfield school system and was a 1952 graduate. She was a member of the French and Latin Club, and the Honor Society. She very much enjoyed singing and sang in the school choral group, Bethel Baptist Church Choir, and several military chapels. She was a Girl Scout Brownie leader and den mother for the Cub Scouts. Lois enjoyed cooking, reading, painting, gardening, camping cross-country with the family and had a dear love for animals. Lois will be remembered for her love as an artist, musician, caring friend, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lois’ endless love and commitment to her family will be forever remembered by her husband, Earl Blake Stone of Odenton, Md.; two daughters, Cathy Anne Denman and her husband, Lee Edward Denman Sr., of Mount Tremper, N.Y., and Carol Lynne Farmer and her husband, Wayne David Farmer, of Glen Burnie, Md.; one son, Kenneth Earl Stone and his wife, Jackie Stone, of Berkley, Mass.; and her brother, Alton Fay of Fort Fairfield. Lois had four grandchildren, Michael David Farmer of Baltimore, Lee Edward Denman Jr. of Victor, N.Y., Jennifer Lynne Farmer of Glen Burnie, Md., and Christopher Blake Farmer of Glen Burnie, Md.; two great-grandchildren, David Michael and Griffin Wayne Farmer of Baltimore. She was predeceased by her father, George Franklin Fay; her mother, Sadie Blanche (Condon) Fay; four sisters, Madeline Nelson, Blanche Neilson, Florence Fay and Letha Alice Bouchard; four brothers, Ralph, George, Clarence and Kenneth Fay; and one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Farmer. Family and friends may visit 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel, 36 Rochester St., Berwick, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. at the Chapel with the Rev.
