LOIS K. REED WADE – Lois K. Reed, 63, died Dec. 24, 2003, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Perham, the daughter of Floyd and Eleanor (Blackstone) Cunningham. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Caribou. Mrs. Reed graduated from Washburn High School in 1958 and graduated from Eastern Maine General Hospital Nursing School in 1961 and was then employed at the Aroostook Medical Center for 40 years on the OB Floor. She was a member of Maine Nurses Association and enjoyed cross-stitching, painting, sewing and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Jack Reed of Wade; two sons and their wives, James A. and Patricia Reed, John A. and Tracy Reed, all of Wade; six grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, Sally, Jared, Jensen and Jacob; a brother and his wife, Sheldon and Sandi Cunningham of Wade; three sisters, Wanita Hallowell and her husband, Larry, of Washburn and Florida, Melvina Peary of Londonderry, N.H., Beth Gagnon and her husband, Daryl, of Wade; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one grandson, James. Friends and relatives may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Caribou. Spring interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Perham.
