CALAIS – Lois M. Campbell, 87, died Oct. 26, 2006, at a Calais nursing home. She was born Aug. 26, 1919, in Calais, the daughter of Clifford and Mary (Reed) Campbell. Lois was a lifelong resident of Calais. She had worked at Home Radio, Bates Jewelry Store, Barnard’s Nursing Home and for many years owned Campbell’s Luncheonette, Main Street. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Bill. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Jean Campbell; and special friends, Frances Sammer, Heather Ross, Maria Zientara and Lydia Dicenzo. At Lois’ request, there will be no services. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
