LOIS PEARL LASLIE LUBEC – Lois Pearl Laslie, 86, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at a Penobscot nursing home. Lois was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Trescott, the daughter of the late Eugene and Eva (Wilcox) Mahar. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Lubec, a former member of the Lubec Grange, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. Lois was predeceased by her husband, James “Buster” Laslie; and a brother, Philip Mahar. Surviving are her two children, Peggy Griffin and husband, Paul, of Fairfield and John Laslie and wife, Susan, of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Eva Kelley of Fla.; a brother, John Mahar and wife, Irene, of Conn.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 3, in Green Acres Cemetery, Lubec, with the Rev. Edwin Randall officiating.
