LOUISE E. LUND JACKSONVILLE – Louise Lund passed away March 28, 2006, in Machias. She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Jacksonville, the daughter of George and Ivadell (Huntley) Dowling. She attended local schools and graduated from Washington Academy. She enjoyed music and dancing, especially the weekly dances held at Jacksonville, Wesley and Dennysville. She moved to Woodland (Baileyville) in 1956, where she her husband, Lawrence and family ran a convenience store for nearly six years. She moved back to Jacksonville with her youngest son, Ronald in 1962 to live near her girlhood home and continue many precious relationships. She spent many happy times at the Jacksonville Campground while growing up and maintained close relationships there through the years. She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elbridge and Verna Dowling of Harrington and Carlton and Marjorie Dowling of Jacksonville; a sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Sherman Graham of Marion. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, William and Ellen Richards of East Hampton, Conn.; and a son and daughter-in-law; Kenneth and Deanna Lund, also of East Hampton; five grandchildren, Alphonse Richards, Donna Lund and Julie Agli, all of East Hampton, and Brandi Miller and Michael Lund of Machias. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Michelle, Lisa and William Richards and Tyler Agli, all of East Hampton and Kelsey and Reese MIller of Machias. She also leaves a very special daughter-in-law, Marsha Lund and her children, Jessica and Michael Drake and Ashlee Worsham of Calais. She was predeceased by two brothers, Olyn and Cecil Dowling; son, Ronald Lund; and grandson, James Richards. A memorial service will be held later at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jacksonville Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Camp-bell Funeral Home, Machias.
