LIMINGTON – Lola Jane Marsh, 83, loving wife of the late Linwood M. Marsh, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born May 21, 1922, in Greenville, the daughter of Walter H. and Margaret (Monroe) Cole. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1941. Lola married Linwood Marsh Nov. 10, 1944, in Kittery. During that time she worked at the Portsmouth Naval Yard. After settling in the Portland area, she was employed at Sears and then the Maine Center for the Blind. For many years she and Lin lived in Limington where she enjoyed taking long walks along country roads and attracting birds to the feeders outside her home on Douglas Road. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Ronald Marsh; nephews, Franklin McIver, Harrison Cole Jr., Thomas O’Brien; nieces, Lane Chamberlain, Carol Jordan, Betty Hooper, Elizabeth Libby, Jada Demerais and Holly Libby; as well as dear cousins and special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Linwood in 1983; her brother, Harrison Cole Sr. and his wife, Mildred; her sister, Ethel McIver and her husband, William. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the family lot in the Greenville Cemetery. Donations in Lola’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O.
