ST. FRANCIS – Lona “Zue” Pelletier, 70, died peacefully Aug. 8, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 6, 1937, in St. Francis, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Jandreau) McPherson. Zue worked as a lab technician for Dr. Norman Cyr, DMD, and Dr. Lucien Daigle, DMD, for 28 years. Several of her favorite pastimes were praying the rosary, knitting, quilting, reading, sewing, baking and especially doing things with her three special granddaughters. She also was her own self-proclaimed barber, whom will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Reuben of St. Francis; daughter Roxann and her husband, Frank Smith and their daughter, Haley of Presque Isle; son Gordon of Portage and his loving companion, Sheila Lizotte; son, Steve and his wife, Colette and their daughters, Blair and Meagan of St. John Plantation. She is also survived by her siblings, Eldon of Washburn, Esther Harvey of Fort Kent, Justine Ristan of Portsmouth, Va., Jean Rush of Claston, Mich., Freda Thibodeau of Washburn, Ewan of Greenville, Phyllis Jandreau, her best friend, of St. Francis, Lloyd of Calais; many nieces and nephews. In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Wallace McPherson; and sister, Marilyn Young. At Zue’s request, there will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Committal services will be after at St. Paul’s Congregational Cemetery.
