CARIBOU – Loretta M. White, 90, beloved and adored by all who knew her, died peacefully, Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 13, 1913, at Washburn, the daughter of Harvey and Blanche (Crouse) Brown. He was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. Loretta will be fondly remembered by countless friends and extended family members. A hard worker and treasured cook, she lived her life with grace, dignity and fulfillment. Perhaps best known for her warm heart and spirit, she leaves on earth those who have been truly blessed to have known her. She is survived by three daughters, Henrietta Chandler and her husband, Jeffery, of Virginia, Linda Szezepanska and her husband, Maciej, of Poland, and Bonnie Weatherhead and her husband, William, of Maine; 10 grandchildren, Beth Dow, Pat Maynard, Lori Jackson, Cheryl Steeves, Suzanne Touchstone, David Boning, Rebecca Boning, Laura Belle Boning, Alana Margeson and Martha Weatherhead. She is also lovingly remembered by several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews. Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Grover White; and infant daughter, Sally; daughter, Nancy Maynard and her husband, Jack; and also by a grandson, William Boning. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Beals officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Loretta may do so through the Presque Isle Nursing Home memorial fund or to the Caribou Public Library.
