MADAWASKA – Lorette (Bouchard) Michaud, 76, passed away June 17, 2006, surrounded by her family, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1929, in Madawaska, the daughter of Albert and Ernestine (Michaud) Bouchard. For many years Lorette worked side by side with her husband at their business, Roland’s Rendez-Vous. Her greatest love was her close family. She enjoyed family gatherings and spoiling all her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind and giving nature. Her unconditional love has kept and will continue to keep us all together. All the words written could not describe how this courageous matriarch was so special and loved. Lorette is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roland P. Michaud Sr. of Madawaska; her children, Carmen Bouchard and her husband, Allen, of Soldier Pond, Pat Thibeault and her husband, James, of Frenchville, Fern Salvail and her husband, Mike, of Brunswick, Roland Michaud Jr. and his wife, Bern, of Madawaska; seven grandchildren, Meagan, Benjamin, Tyler, Kayla, Whitney, Olivia and Connor; one brother, Albert “June” Bouchard of St. David; two sisters, Irma Landry and her husband, Arthur “Babe,” of St. Agatha and Ouida Mazzacoli of Florida. She was predeceased by one grandchild, Travis Michaud in 1991; and one sister-in-law, Corinne Bouchard June 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the church 10:30 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
