FORT KENT – Lorette (Pelletier) Caron, 92, died Aug. 13, 2006, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born April 22, 1914, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Belone and Agnes (Dumond) Pelletier. She was the wife of the late Zenon Caron. Lorette taught school for 17 years in the Fort Kent school system and the last 20 years she taught in Sinclair, until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the Maine State Employee Alumni Association, past president of the UMFK Alumni Association, she was past president and past secretary of the Fort Kent Ladies Golf Club, past president of the BPW of Fort Kent and past treasurer of the Retired Teachers Association. She loved to play golf and was also an avid bridge player. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Forest Hill Manor for the care they gave their mother during her stay there. She is survived by two sons, Garland and his wife, Ann M. Caron, of Cross Lake and James K. and his wife, Nancy Caron, of Fort Kent; six grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Germaine Jones; and two brothers, Ronald and Aurelle Pelletier. At her request there will be no viewing. Friends are asked to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be held after in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
