STACYVILLE – Lorraine C. McCarthy, 68, of Stacyville, died Jan. 15, 2005, in Houlton. She was born Jan. 17, 1937. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Hubert McCarthy of Stacyville; and her best friend, James Ivey of Stacyville; eight children, Sharon McCarthy and Johnny Carpenter of Etna, Sheila McCarthy of Enfield, Shelley McCarthy of Bangor, Eugene and his wife, Theresa McCarthy, of Stacyville, Shirley and her husband, Bill Voisine, of Millinocket, Isaac and his wife, Darlene McCarthy, of Sherman, Robert McCarthy of Lee, N.H., Sharman and her husband, Ed Rand, of Sherman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her parents, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends may call 12-2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held with the Rev. Carlton Huntley officiating. Interment will be in the Stacyville Cemetery. The family would like to thank the long term care nurses at Houlton Regional Hospital for all of their care to Lorraine.
