OLD TOWN – Louis L. “Bosco” King Jr., 82, died peacefully June 6, 2004, surrounded by his family at a Bangor healthcare center. He was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Bradley, a son of Louis L. Sr. and Ellie (Mazerolle) King. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. He worked in local shoe factories until his retirement in 1987. Bosco will be best remembered as a hard working man who had the ability to make people laugh and his avid affection for the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by a daughter, Linda A. King of Bangor; three sons, Gordon J. King and his wife, Joyce, of Trenton, Wilfred J. “Willy” King of Bradley, Louis L. “Butch” King III and his wife, Lisa, of Old Town; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Jenny, Joseph, Daniel, Lisa, Travis, Randy, Heidi and Brittany; one great-grandson, Shawn Logan; special family friend, Mary Hughes; five sisters, Jeannie Cote, Theresa Cote, Martha Cosseboom, Esther Colbert, Doris Doucette; two brothers, Gerald King and Gordon King. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Marie Ramona “Mona” King on Oct. 25, 2002; brothers, Clarence and Raymond; sisters, Ellen and Lucy; and a great-granddaughter, Katherine Helen Elizabeth. At his request all services will be private. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
