BANGOR – Louis Perdikis, 65, passed away Dec. 31, 2004, at a Bangor healthcare center. He was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Vamvakou Sparta, Greece, the son of James Peter and Pota (Kanatas) Perdikis. Louis came to the United States as a teenager and was co-owner with his parents of Skoufis Variety on Main Street. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. He is survived by a sister, Dina Gianibas of Portland; a brother, Pantelis “Paul” Perdikis of Bangor; two nieces, Diane and Mary; one nephew, James; one great-nephew, William; and several cousins. Relatives and friends may call 7-8 p.m. Sunday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a Trisagion Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 90 Sanford St. Bangor, with Rev. Adam Metropoulos, presbyter, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions in his name to the Memorial Fund of St. George Church.
