BLUE HILL and BAR HARBOR – Louise A. Birch 58, died Jan. 3, 2004, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born April 4, 1945, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Herman F. and Alice M. (Strout) Alley. Louise enjoyed beano, television, walking with her friends and picking up bottles for a pastime. She is survived by her mother, Alice M. Cirard of Blue Hill; two sons, John E. Burch, of Trenton, and Timothy L. Burch of Bar Harbor; two brothers, Herman F. Alley Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., and Arthur L. Alley Sr. of Blue Hill; two sisters, Stella L. Alley of Blue Hill, and Martha A. Alley of Oxford; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and two very special friends, Rhoda Farley and Milton Farley. Friends are invited to call from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral service which will be held at 11 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, with Carlton Morse Jr., a friend of the family, officiating. Contributions in Louise’s memory may be made to the family to defer the funeral services.
